Scripture:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9 (ESV)

I’m Tired, But I’m Not Done

You can love Jesus, remain faithful, and still be tired. Sometimes the exhaustion is physical. Other times, it comes from waiting, disappointment, responsibilities, and trying to stay strong when life feels heavy.

But being tired isn’t the biggest problem. The danger is when tiredness starts making decisions for you.

God has not called you to give up or allow exhaustion to change who you are. Even in your weariness, He is calling you to remain locked in.

1. Don’t Let Tiredness Change Who You Are

Galatians 6 reminds us that whatever we sow, we will reap. When we are tired, hurt, or disappointed, it can be easy to feed bitterness, withdraw from others, or allow frustration to shape how we treat people.

But what you continue to feed will eventually grow.

Your exhaustion doesn’t get permission to determine your character.

You can be tired and still choose love. You can forgive while maintaining healthy boundaries. You can acknowledge your hurt without allowing it to redefine you.

Ask God to reveal what you have been sowing. Don’t keep watering what He is trying to uproot.

2. Don’t Quit Before the Harvest

We love the harvest, but we don’t control the timing. Galatians 6:9 reminds us that we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.

You may be tired of praying, serving, waiting, and believing without seeing the results you hoped for. But a delayed harvest does not mean your faithfulness is wasted.

We control the sowing, but God controls the timing.

Isaiah 40:29–31 reminds us that God gives strength to the weary and renews those who wait on Him. He may not change the race, but He can renew the runner.

Don’t dig up your seed because it hasn’t grown yet. Keep trusting God, keep planting, and let Him renew your strength while you wait.

You may be tired, but you are not done.

Pause + Reflect

  • What has my exhaustion been producing in me?

  • What have I been tempted to give up on because I’m tired of waiting?

Prayer: God, renew my strength. Help me guard my heart, remain faithful, and trust Your timing. I may be tired, but I’m not done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step (Do This Today)

Identify one area where exhaustion has been affecting your faith, relationships, or peace. Take one intentional step today: release bitterness, have a needed conversation, return to prayer, or continue planting the seed God placed in your hands.

You don’t have to do everything today. Just remain faithful to the next step.
