You’re Not Struggling, You're Empty

Matthew 12:43–45
Jesus teaches that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it passes through dry places and then returns to the house it came from. If it finds that house empty, swept, and put in order, it brings back seven more spirits more wicked than itself. The issue wasn’t that the house was messy, it was that it was empty. You can remove what was wrong and still not be filled with what is right. That’s where many people misread their condition. You call it struggle. Jesus calls it emptiness.
You cleaned up habits. You corrected behavior. You adjusted routines. But you didn’t refill your life with the presence, the Word, and the discipline that sustains freedom. Emptiness creates vulnerability. It leaves space for old patterns to return with greater intensity. Freedom is not just deliverance, it’s occupation. It’s being filled so fully that there is no room for what used to live there. You don’t just need relief from what was, you need renewal in what is.
Action Step
Identify one area where you removed something but didn’t replace it. Fill that space today with Scripture, prayer, or intentional obedience. Don’t leave it empty.
We invite you to worship freely in God with us this Sunday at Liberty Worship Christian Center.

This message really highlights how important it is to actively fill the gaps after change, not just remove old habits. Makes a lot of sense! episode shortmax free
